Magnetic Field Protection: Mechanical and quartz movements can be sensitive to strong magnetic fields. To prevent timing inaccuracies or stoppage, try to keep your watch at a safe distance from powerful everyday magnets, such as smartphone speakers, laptops, refrigerators, and magnetic handbag closures.
Managing Water Resistance: Water resistance is not a permanent condition and can be influenced by normal wear over time. Always verify your specific model’s water-resistance rating (e.g., daily splash-proof vs. swimming standards) before exposing it to moisture. Avoid wearing non-waterproof or splash-rated watches in hot showers, saunas, or during swimming, as steam and extreme temperature shifts can compromise the internal gaskets.
Proper Storage Practices: When your timepiece is resting off your wrist, store it safely in a dedicated, dry, and dust-free watch box. Protect it from direct, prolonged sunlight, high humidity, and extreme temperature fluctuations to prevent premature aging of the dial and strap.

For metal bracelets, an occasional gentle cleaning with a soft-bristled brush and mild, soapy lukewarm water will keep the polished links looking immaculate. Strap Maintenance: For genuine leather straps, minimize contact with water, sweat, and cosmetics, as moisture can weaken the leather over time. If your leather strap gets wet, let it air dry naturally rather than applying direct heat.
