Pro Ferro Rod Fire Starter

描述

Up to 15,000 strikes is the number worth reading twice, because it means this ferro rod fire starter will outlive every disposable lighter you would have bought in its place. The Pro Ferro Rod runs 3/8 inch thick fire steel, the heavy diameter that peels off a dense shower of sparks, not a thin dusting.

• Up to 15,000 strikes turns one small tool into years of fires, at a cost per flame nothing else matches.
• 3/8 inch thick fire steel throws hotter, heavier sparks, which is what damp tinder needs to catch.
• Waterproof, with no fuel to leak or evaporate, so it works the same after a season in a wet pack.
• Contoured handle with a thumb divot gives real control with gloves on or hands you can barely feel.
• Steel striker on a lanyard cord keeps rod and striker together, so the half you need is never left behind.

Put it in the kit once and fire becomes the one part of the trip you stop thinking about.
